Our Mission

Our mission is to empower communities in South Sudan by investing in local partnerships creating environments of sustainable education and support for the growth of infrastructure within rural communities igniting self-reliance, restoring dignity and creating generational change.

Our vision is to create a future where every child in South Sudan, especially girls, has access to education, clean water, and the opportunity to thrive in safe and self-sustaining communities. SSHN acts as a bridge between global goodwill and local resilience, collaborating closely with the communities we serve to transform hardship into hope.

BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT INITIATIVES

Through linkages with other programs we are building connections to support our goal to open opportunities to women and girls. Without the infrastructure needed in order to support opportunities for girls, parents lean to an economic option of marrying off their daughters once they hit puberty.  By providing schooling and training options parents will be given other options for their teenage daughters. Our plans are to make more of these options available to families in the villages.

We build more than schools—we build hope. Our model is based on collaborative endeavors engaging local labor and resources to ensure the projects enliven communities economically and spiritually. Partnering with global youth programs and compassionate organizations allows us to foster collective responsibility and cross-cultural solidarity.

OUR GOALS

At the heart of our mission is the belief that educating women and girls is one of the most effective ways to transform society. When girls have access to education, they are less likely to be forced into early marriage, more likely to become community leaders, and better equipped to make informed decisions about their health, families, and futures. Through education, we foster opportunity, resilience, and equality.
